Deputy Prime Minister, Economics Minister Stephane Bride met Czech Ambassador to Moldova Jaromír Kvapil today. The officials discussed the need to foster the bilateral economic cooperation by developing joint projects in energy, industry, agriculture, the Economics Ministry has reported.
Stephane Bride underlined Moldova’s interest in cooperating with potential Czech investors, as well as with research institutions, in order to get the necessary support to develop renewable energy in Moldova.
„The diversification of energy sources, especially by using renewable energy sources, represents a priority for Moldova. We have the advantage to be able to take over the experience of countries with experience in this sector, such as the Czech Republic,” Bride said.
The sides noted the ascendant trend of the Moldovan-Czech economic ties and highlighted the need to identify new areas of collaboration between the two states.
At the same time, the officials approached the organisation of the sixth meeting of the Moldovan-Czech inter-governmental commission in Chisinau in next summer.
Stephane Bride thanked the Czech Republic for the assistance provided to Moldova, by implementing cooperation projects in the social sector, water supply and sewerage, agriculture and environment.
